The Institute is located in the Outpatient Care Center (OCC), 225 Abraham Flexner Way, Suite 850 Louisville, Kentucky. The Fellowship offices are on the 8th floor of the OCC. The Institute is in the heart of Louisville’s downtown medical district, within walking distance of numerous hospitals as well as the University of Louisville Medical Center and Medical School.
Computers are available for presentation preparation. The computers in the fellows’ room also have internet access via T1, allowing extramural e-mail access and access to online databases such as Medline. Literature searches can also be performed through Kornhauser Library at the University of Louisville.
The Institute houses a small laboratory with microscopes, centrifuge, and -80 and -20 freezers. We also have an operating microscope that can be used for microsurgery practice on inanimate material.
In addition the Institute has active collaborations with the Cardiovascular Innovation Institute, on a number of projects. This collaboration gives our fellows access to state of the art laboratory equipment and large and small animal surgical and imaging suites.
