Scott Farner, MD

Dr. Farner was born and raised in the north suburbs of Chicago, Il. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago where he was subsequently employed as a molecular biologist. He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria prior to pursuing his training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Louisville. He continued his training in Hand and Microsurgery at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute and the University of Louisville Hospitals in Louisville, Ky. Dr. Farner is board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

 

Dr. Farner joined the staff in August 2014 and brings his training, experience, and knowledge in orthopaedic surgery to expand the scope of the practice to include disorders of the entire upper extremity, including the shoulder. Interests include shoulder, elbow, and wrist arthroscopy and arthroplasty (replacement). Other interests include upper extremity fractures, malunions/nonunions, microsurgical reconstruction of skeletal and tissue defects, sports injuries, cartilage restoration and preservation, and arthritis.
